Glass Stop material is designed for securing glass panes to wood French Lite and Cut for Glass doors. There are several options to choose from, though their availability may vary based upon the details and location of where the pieces are being manufactured. Glass Stop material is currently offered for wood door styles only.
Wood Glass Stops
Wooden Glass Stops are small decorative molding pieces which are cut to fit the opening at the back of the Glass or French Lite door. Once glass is placed in the door, the Glass Stop material can then be fitted and a pin nail may be used to secure them in place. They will come in the same material as the door as well. This option is most common for doors manufactured on the West Coast.
Clear Rubber Stops
Light, flexible and easy to install, Clear Rubber Stop material is a simple way to secure glass panes to wood French Lite and Cut for Glass doors. It is designed to fit into a groove cut into the rabbet on the back of the door, which makes installation and removal of the glass a painless process. Clear Rubber Stop material is most common for doors manufactured on the East Coast.
